Product Features
From the Workshop or the Factory
Drill press heating elements are specifically designed for semi-automated branding applications for the workshop, garage or manufacturing facility. The drill press Branding Iron has a 1” long shank that fits a drill press, mill or other machines with a ½” capacity chuck. BIU offers the DP branding irons in a variety of wattages. The BIU sales department will help determine the iron that would work best for you.
Industrial Quality
The DP branding irons are all self-leveling and made with tension-matched die springs, imperative for achieving consistent uniform branded marks. The heat deflector and interrupter use a 3½” diameter disc with a 1-1/8” air gap to break the heat conduction path and diffuse convection currents. These features are designed to maintain the iron stem, drill chuck and drill press bearings cool and they also enhance equipment lubrication. The irons’ steel stems and element cases are nickel-plated for maximum strength and durability.
Temperature Control
For keeping any branding die at a constant degree of heat, simply plug the drill press iron into a temperature control unit. This accessory keeps your die at a consistent temperature. It will not overheat or cool down, no matter how long your session lasts, allowing you to achieve branded marks that are even in tone. In other words your branded marks will be of the same quality, from the first to the very last mark you make.
